Springs of Hope champions children’s academic achievement

Springs of Hope UK hosted their annual quiz night at Elim House in Peckham on Saturday 29 April, raising a total of £403 for their charitable activities.

Over 50 people attended the quiz night, which included a fun team quiz, a buffet and a raffle.

Some of the money raised from the event will fund Springs of Hope UK’s school-building activities in Jamaica, which they made terrific progress on in 2016, some funds will also go towards the summer community festival they are planning to hold on 5th August 2017.

Cllr Charlie Smith, Deputy Mayor of Southwark, attend the event to present six children (aged 6-15) with a certificate for their fantastic academic achievements and a gift, paid for by the event’s sponsors and business supporters.

Global Markets Consultants were the primary sponsors of the event, and were joined by Morrisons Supermarket (Peckham branch), Tescos and Rose Whitter (CEO of Imperial Home Brokers Ltd) in proving financial support for the event to take place.

Ms. Ross Morgan, a community champions from Morrisons Supermarket, expressed how impressed she was at the valuable work Springs of Hope UK is doing.
