Honouring best of the City at Mansion House
Prem Goyal was delighted to be invited to a dinner at Mansion House on 16 June, attended by The Lord Mayor, The Governor and Directors of the Bank of England and The Chancellor of the Exchequer.
Present at the dinner were other distinguished individuals from the City of London, including many Aldermen and Common Councilmen, Masters of the City’s most prestigious Livery Companies, Ambassadors of G-7, and bankers and merchants from the City.
Instead of reading their pre-planned speeches, both Chancellor George Osborne and Bank of England Governor Mark Carney took to the podium to pay tribute to Jo Cox MP, who was tragically killed on the afternoon of the event. Everyone in attendance joined them in paying tribute.
Prem used the event to network with distinguished figures from the City and discuss ways to support them in their charitable and civic endeavours.
Thank you to Paul Double, Remembrancer of the City of London Corporation, and the Mansion House Events Team for organising this wonderful event.
