Celebrating talented women at the Mulan Awards

Mulan Awards 2015

Prem Goyal and guests joined over 200 people, including business leaders, civic leader, TV personalities and prominent Chinese women for the Mulan Foundation Network Annual Awards ceremony at the Corinthia Hotel on Monday 9th November.

The evening celebrated and brought into the limelight the terrific achievements of Chinese women residing in the UK and around the world.

Global Markets Consultants was delighted to sponsor two of the evening’s awards – the Young Achiever of the Year Award and the Contribution to Public Service and Community Award.

During the ceremony, Prem presented these two awards to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to their field.

Althea Smith Mulan Awards

The award for Contribution to Public Service and Community work went to Juanita Yau and Sheela Mackintosh-Stewart. Juanita is a full-time volunteer and Trustee for the Wai Yin Society, one of the largest Chinese Community Centres in the UK. Sheela is an experienced family law solicitor, specialising in giving advice to individuals going through a separation; She is also the Trustee of many charities.

The Young Achiever of the Year Award was presented to Wendy Yu, a Patron at the British Fashion Council Fashion Trust.

Thanks to Mei Sim Lai OBE DL, Chair of Mulan Foundation Network, for organising a wonderful evening.
