Carragher Academy raises £3,000 in dance-athon
Bermondsey’s Carragher Academy raised over £3,000 in profit after staging a dance-athon on 16 February.
All of the academy’s talented dancers participated in the dance-athon, all of whom took part in choreographed dancing routines over long periods throughout the evening.
Carragher Academy staged the dance-athon to fund the London Open dance competition they were scheduled to host at the end of February. The academy reached out to Tesco and Hilton Hotels to contribute towards the funds needed to stage the competition.
Global Markets Consultants (GMC) agreed to donate £500, as part of the company’s continued support for Carragher Academy.
Prem Goyal, CEO of GMC, said: “GMC are incredibly happy to support Carragher Academy in this venture. Their initiative in staging this fundraising event reflects their team of dancers’ dedication to compete in these prestigious tournaments and richly deserve every penny of the money that they raised”.
Congratulations to Carragher Academy on their fundraising efforts.
