Annie Shepperd receives OBE
Annie Shepperd, Southwark Community Champion and former Chief Executive of Southwark Borough Council, hosted an investiture lunch to celebrate being awarded an OBE.
Over 50 close friends, family and colleagues attended the lunch on 16 March, which was held at the Institute of Directors in the City of London, to congratulate Annie on her OBE for services to Energy Efficiency and voluntary service to Child Protection.
Annie took over as Chief Executive of Salix Finance, an independent publicly-funded company set up to accelerate public sector investment in energy efficiency technologies, in 2012 and has helped left the company to new heights in her five year tenure, including winning several business awards in 2016.
Annie is also Trustee for the Lucy Faithfull Foundation, a charity which seeks to prevent children being sexually abused and exploited. She has served as a Trustee since 2012 and has overseen the development of a number of key projects.
Prem Goyal, CEO of Global Markets Consultants who attend the investiture lunch, said: “I am delighted for Annie. She is one of the hardest working people I have ever known, both in her professional and voluntary endeavors. She fully deserves her OBE and is an inspiration to me and so many others to do more for vulnerable people.”
Congratulations to Annie Shepperd on her accolades.
